Who We Are
Compound is a new cultural complex in the heart of the Zaferia district of Long Beach. Compound is dedicated to the intersection of art, wellness, and community engagement. It is a new space for culture and community to promote connectivity and belonging.

We recognize that Compound is on Tongva, Kizh, and Chumash land, and we honor and extend our gratitude to these and many other indigenous groups who call these grounds home.
Compound is W.A.G.E. (Working Artists and the Greater Economy) certified. W.A.G.E. is a New York–based organization founded in 2008 that advocates for artists receiving fair compensation for the exhibition of their work. W.A.G.E. publicly recognizes those nonprofit arts organizations demonstrating a commitment to voluntarily paying artist fees that meet W.A.G.E. payment standards.
